Torta di Mele with Caramel

Upside-down apple torta with buttery caramel and whipped vanilla cream.

Method

  1. Make a deep amber caramel in an ovenproof pan.
  2. Arrange quartered apples into the caramel, cook 15 minutes.
  3. Drape shortcrust over the top and tuck in.
  4. Bake at 200C for 25 minutes, invert and serve warm with cream.
